Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Further Strengthens its Position as ‘Best Green Company’ with Latest Win
SINGAPORE, September 4, 2017 – Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd was recently announced the winner of Sustainable Business Awards under the ‘Waste Management and Material Productivity’ category, recognizing its continuous efforts to achieve more than 99.5 percent recycling rate and stay zero-landfill across our business territory in the Asia Pacific. The award marks the company’s second consecutive win in the same category, strengthening its sustainability scorecard and aligning itself closer to the 17 UN Sustainable Development goals to “transform” the world.

With this win, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific has been lauded by the industry for investing in its own Integrated Recycling System across all its operations, which follows the BASEL convention, a United Nations Environment Program that looks after transboundary movement of hazardous wastes and their disposal. This achievement highlights the company’s high standards in its full product life-cycle management across its 11 operating companies in the region – Australia, China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand – to achieve “zero landfill”, “zero pollution”, and “zero illegal disposal”.
“We are delighted that our strategic decision to design, create and recycle products has been lauded by the industry, for being at the forefront of sustainability excellence,” said Janet Neo, head of corporate sustainability, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific. “As a leader in providing document services and communications for businesses in the region, we will continue to spur innovative solutions that contribute to global sustainable development.”
Fuji Xerox was the first in the industry to introduce a product using reused parts in 1995. The Company’s whole process of reusing, recycling, designing and production makes recycled machines and cartridges with less cost as compared to new ones, and the Integrated Recycling System across the Asia-Pacific region has achieved financial profitability.
Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific plans to build on this successful momentum to align its business operations in the region to support the company’s global sustainability commitment of reducing regional carbon footprint across the value chain by 30 percent by 2020, and to be a thought leader for customers, partners and vendors on the most current sustainability issues.
